At Tim White Home Improvements, kitchen remodeling is one of our specialties. We have been doing this on Long Island since 1994, and in that time we have designed and built hundreds of kitchens across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Traditional, transitional, modern, farmhouse. Galley layouts, open concepts, kitchen expansions. We have done it all.

The whole process runs through our Seaford showroom. You will sit down with one of our in-house designers, look at materials, work through a 3D rendering of your new layout, and not place a single order until you are completely confident in what you are getting.

01Design Consultation

Visit the Seaford showroom and meet with a kitchen designer. Bring photos, measurements and a wish list. We take it from there.

023D Rendering

Before any materials are ordered, you see a detailed 3D rendering of your new kitchen. No surprises on the build day.

03Material Selection

Cabinetry from Kitchen Craft, Homecrest, Decora and Forevermark. Cambria countertops. Plumbing from Moen, Delta, Kohler, Brizo.

04Dedicated Project Manager

Once the job starts, your project manager is your single point of contact. They coordinate the crew and keep the job on schedule.

Collect Ideas

During the research process you should begin to think about what type of kitchen options you would like to include in your remodeling project. Start visiting sites like HOUZZ, Pinterest and Instagram. Gather ideas and pictures of what you like and don’t like. Having an idea will help your designer create a space that fits your budget. Organizing your project will make your kitchen remodel easier from start to finish.

Consider Your Neighborhood

Keeping your wants and needs in the forefront, your kitchen remodeling project should not exceed 15-20% of the fair market value of your home. Consider how your remodel will increase the value of your home vs. the other homes in your neighborhood. If your remodeled kitchen raises your home’s market value far above the average, you will likely lose this additional investment if you sell your house in the next year or two. You don’t want to over-improve your kitchen unless you plan to enjoy it for the long haul. If the long-haul is your plan, you may be able justify an expense up to 25%.
